Allow edits to a project post-match (toggleable with a setting)

As a learner, employer, or admin I may need to request changes to a project after the match has been accepted. This could happen for a number of reasons, and would allow for more flexibility with less uplift on those involved.
Looking at this from the perspective of the Youth Thrive program - they have long placements that are subject to change VS 1 distinct project, and the non-profit partners may not have all the information at the time of import. This would also be helpful for projects that may need to pivot throughout so it is clearly documented and matches the deliverables in the end
Understanding that this is not something every experience would need, it could be optional to toggle on within the settings, and would need to be approved by the employer and teams/admin similar to how we approve date change requests
Thank you!

Emily Masching In my experience, we often need to do those changes on behalf of the educator/employer. If we need to make it through additional changes request, that could be a bit of a lengthy process with notifications probably sent to the parties involved. Not critical, but as a platform admin I would prefer to be able to edit without these extra steps

Margarita Tiurina: While that makes sense I would reserve that functionality for Forest, since it's not best practice for platform users - the other party should be informed and should accept, normally.

Emily Masching I don't mind Forest as long as I can edit the match somewhere ;)

We have a feature in the works which will partially address this by allowing educators or employers to propose "addendums" to matches. Based on current experience, do those of you who voted on this think this will mostly suffice, or is editing the original project also required?
Crystal Wright
Emily Masching It could suffice, but I think Id need a visual to be able to see where this shows up/how visible it is, etc

Update project post-match acceptance

Problem
After a match is accepted, educators may still refine the project scope with employers, or in some cases, part of the learning experience involves students creating a formal project proposal. These updates often occur post-acceptance, but the platform does not allow changes to the original project at this stage. As a result, students see outdated details when they begin their work, leading to confusion and misalignment with the actual project scope.
Request
Enable educators and employers to propose and approve changes to a project after a match has been accepted, ensuring that students always see the latest agreed-upon scope in the platform.
Example is this educator who wants to update the project scope post-match:

This is something product is currently exploring but based on previous customer requests it would likely be something that either party could "request" of the other party, rather than making edits directly. Do you see that as an issue?
Crystal Wright
Emily Masching Would it be the same as now where we can make the edits but the other party approves them? if so, thats fine!
Emily Masching
Crystal Wright Yes it would be... likely not doable until fall though unfortunately. But import of requests will be sooner if that helps.
